Stephen’s work is regularly published in a variety of international news publications including BBC, The Times, The Guardian, The Telegraph, The Independent, New Statesman, Forbes, The Spectator, Prospect Magazine, and many more. He covers everything from politics to the environment, from social issues to travel and culture.
In 2019, he was shortlisted for a journalism award by the Human Trafficking Foundation for the best investigative newspaper article written on the subject of human trafficking.
Additionally, he has produced radio features for BBC World Service and appeared numerous times on various radio stations as a voice on Romania. On one such occasion, he was required to explain to a 5Live audience why a young Romanian entrepreneur built a 1-meter-long motorway to protest against poor infrastructure in his country.
He has also contributed to specialist magazines such as New Eastern Europe, Boxing News, Environmental Health News, and WSP Parsons Brinckerhoff’s “thought-leader” magazine, as well as local and regional UK newspapers.
He also takes on copywriting gigs for international companies, mostly in the tech sector.
